In the port city of Poti, Georgia, young adults lack dedicated spaces where they can focus on social, educational, and professional development. And places that are available for training and learning are often poorly furnished, or lack the modern technology necessary to help prepare them for the workplace.
The Poti Youth Hub was suffering from these exact problems when IOCC stepped in to help. Through IOCC, the Poti Youth Hub received furniture to transform their building into a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for young people, including those with disabilities. Now they are up and running, hosting activities such as foreign language classes, IT classes, and meetings with local companies about potential internships.
With access to a fully functional space for networking and training, Poti’s young people are discovering new opportunities and empowering themselves to be the next generation of Poti’s business leaders.
