Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution of funds from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) directly to a qualified charitable organization, such as International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC).
Who can make a qualified charitable distribution?
If you are 70 ½ years old or older, you can give up to $111,000 from your IRA directly to IOCC without having to pay income taxes on the money. This gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
How do I make a qualified charitable distribution to IOCC?
Your QCD must be made directly from your IRA custodian to IOCC on your behalf. Each financial institution has its own process for initiating a qualified charitable distribution.
Are you ready to make a qualified charitable distribution?
Complete your IRA custodian’s QCD form and use IOCC’s Tax ID number 25-1679348.
